WHO CAN ATTEND
Ray Guy Prokicker.com National Kicking Championship is the ideal platform for rising high school juniors and seniors to get on the "radar" of the college coach - and get a "jump" on the recruiting process. Graduating seniors and Junior College players can also make that last push to get their names in front of the recruiters - or solidify their place in the recruiting process. Even athletes who are not on the recruiting radar - but deserve attention - can come out of nowhere and bring their name and talents to the forefront.WHAT TO BRING
- Bring your own football for warm-up. We will provide holders, tees, and blocks. (Nike and Wilson footballs will be provided and used for competition).
- Dress appropriately for weather conditions - competition will be conducted regardless of weather conditions (determined safe).
- Lunch "on your own" (or you may bring lunch) - drinks will be provided.
LIMITED ENROLLMENT
To insure our competitive format maintains integrity we reserve all rights to limit enrollment for the competition. THE NATIONAL KICKING CHAMPIONSHIP is innovatively designed to be conducted on one football field in order to provide each athlete "center stage" attention for video filming and for everyone at the event to see. This format dramatically limits field space and is anticipated to sell-out very early. Registration is on a "first come - first served" basis.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
KICKING COMPETITION- Minimum 10 field goals
- Minimum 4 kickoffs
PUNTING COMPETITION
- Minimum 10 punts
LONG SNAPPING COMPETITION

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS WILL BE DETERMINED IN TWO DIVISIONS
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION
The High School Division includes rising high school juniors (2015 recruiting class) and rising high school seniors (2014 recruiting class). Athletes graduating later than the 2015 recruiting class need to contact prokicker.com to insure qualification requirements are met.Kickers competing in the High School Division may use (one or two inch placement blocks) for field goal competition and (one or two inch tee) for kick off competition. Long Snappers will snap to a target within a 15 yard range, simulating the standard distance used in college when snapping to a punter.
All athletes will use footballs, tees, blocks, and holders provided by Prokicker.com for competition.
SCHOLARSHIP DIVISON
The Scholarship Division includes athletes who have completed their high school football career and immediately qualify for a college scholarship. This includes high school seniors graduating in the 2013 recruiting class or earlier (such as 2012 graduates and Junior College players).High school senior kickers (who graduate in 2013) have the option during competition to follow either high school or college rules as it relates to the elevation requirements of the football during placement kicks and kickoffs. For field goals, they may use one or two inch placement blocks (as allowed in high school) or they may kick "off the ground" (as required in college). For kickoffs, they may use a one or two inch kickoff tee that is allowed in high school (college requires one inch).
The National Kicking Championship is strategically scheduled at the end of the high school football season for recruiting purposes. The timing of this event limits high school senior kickers (2013 recruiting class) enough time to begin the "transition" of lowering the football to meet the elevation requirements for kicking at the college level. Prokicker.com in no way wants to influence kickers to adjust the elevation of the football in efforts to prepare for this competition. Kickers are strongly encouraged to always use the proper equipment allowed by the rules that enables them to perform at their optimum performance level. It is important to note in this competition, it's not the placement level of the football that will impress college coaches, it will be the performance of the kick.
Long Snappers will snap to a target within a 15 yard range, simulating the standard distance used in college when snapping to a punter.
All athletes will use footballs, tees, blocks, and holders provided by Prokicker.com for competition.
